Increases Water Retention Improves
It increases the water retention in tile adhesives. This increases the open time as well as the ultimate stickiness power. The extended open time allows the worker to trowel a larger area before laying the tiles, leading to faster laying speed as opposed to plastering the tile with an adhesive trowel prior to installation.

Provides Slip Resistance
The modified provides slip sag resistance so that heavier or non-porous tiles and ceramics do not slide down the vertical surface.

Increases Adhesion Strength
As mentioned earlier, it enables the water uptake reaction to be completed further, thus allowing / allowing the development of higher final adhesion strength.
